About Radiant Oncology

Radiant Oncology is a division of the Center for Neurosciences that specializes in Radiation Therapy. We are known for having a dedicated set of teams that provide the highest quality care possible to our patients. Although the Center's roots are in neurologic care, we have expanded to treat nearly all malignancies, which led to the creation of Radiant Oncology as our new division.

The Center for Neurosciences is the longest-standing private practice in Tucson. It was founded in 1950 by Dr. Juan Fonseca and Dr. Charles Elkins, and today it is a multi-disciplinary group of physicians who have been providing quality care to patients in Tucson for decades. Many other services are available within the building as well, including neurosurgery, neurology, ear and hearing, pain management, infusion services, radiology, and a laboratory.

We have been treating cancer on-site for more than 10 years as part of the Tucson community. Proudly physician owned and operated since the day our doors opened, we remain deeply rooted here, and we are ready to quickly help you navigate your cancer care while keeping you closer to home.

Our team is led by two board-certified Radiation Oncologists with extensive training in modern radiation techniques. Dr. Tijana (Tina) Skrepnik and Dr. Matthew McFarlane, along with our Radiation Oncology Nurse Practitioner Ruth Ferreri, bring their experience, their heart, and their citywide connections to provide the peace of mind that no stone is left unturned where your cancer is concerned.

Our Radiation Oncologists work closely with medical oncologists, surgeons, radiologists, and more as part of a multi-disciplinary team to plan the best treatment for you. We are laser focused on the details that matter. Our Varian TrueBeam STx and Halcyon radiation systems, equipped with the advanced AlignRT imaging system, provide sub-millimeter precision to get better control of your cancer, with fewer side effects.
